Andrew and Katie met on the eve of Super Bowl Sunday in 2012. Both were out with friends against their will and happened to end up at a local Newport dive bar, "Beach ball". Andrew spotted Katie as she was playing pool. He of course, played the cool guy and leaned against the bar pillar to watch her shot (also used to keep his balance as this was close to closing time). Noticing his unbreakable stare, Katie commented that he was making her "nervous" which would cause her "to miss the shot"... which she did... only to blame Andrew. Within a few minutes, Andrew decided to talk to Katie's friend, Kendall, and find out "the deal" with Katie. Kendall soon came to find out that Andrew was in fact Katie's neighbor. After sharing their mutual location, and making eyes at one another, Katie was obliged to give Andrew her number, which he saved as: Kate Very Pretty Girl from Beach Ball.

 

The two soon lost touch after a few missed date opportunities, and life continued. Until Andrew happened to reach out to Katie unexpectedly to attend a BBQ just down the street. Katie jumped on the chance to re-meet the cute boy from Beach Ball.

 

What followed was 3 and a half years of near inseperability and what can only be best described as true love. On August 8th 2015, Andrew surprised Katie by proposing on the Newport Harbor near where they shared their first date.
