The Wedding Party

Mike Benassi
Best Man
Mike and I go way way back. We first met in elementary school but didn't become close friends until we ended up living together after high school. Our bond was so tight that after I moved to southern California, I would frequently pay Mike to come down and visit me under the guise of part time employment at my work. Some may call this embezzlement but others knew we just missed each other. I served Mike as the best man for his wedding in 2012 and now feel obligated to return the favor.

Matt Marchese
Senior Groomsman
I have known Matt since 2007 when he moved to Southern California from "The D" (Detroit, MI). At first it was surprising that we became such good friends. Not because of Matt's age but because I was his boss. Despite that, we developed a friendship that has transcended all barriers. Matt describes me as the annoying little brother he never wanted. I describe Matt as the most sensitive caring person I know.

Andy Nethery
Groomsman, Brother of the Bride
It probably scares Katie how much her brother and I are alike. Apart from having a sweet first name, we both share many of the same interests like photography, movies, mountain biking, and craft beer/cocktail drinking. Seriously though, it's kind of awesome and I couldn't be more excited to have such a cool brother-in-law.

Sean Spurr
Groomsman
I have lived with Sean longer than anyone else other than my Mom. For 6 years we resided at 2 Kamalii Court in Newport Beach. Some called it a party house but that was only on the weekends. When not hosting our infamous family dinners, Sean and I enjoyed golfing, surfing, bowling, brunching, and mimosa-ing.

Matt Ebrahimoon
Groomsman
Matthew Ebra-hi-moooon is one of my longest running friends, dating back to the 6th grade. Next to Charles, Matt is the craziest person I know. In the past, I have said that if both Charles and Matt were in the same room, at the same time, it would explode. I am taking a huge risk having them both as groomsmen. But yet, here we are.

Charles Vickery
Groomsman
Charles Carrington Vickery is basically the young version of the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man in the World. Charles and I met in college over a shared interest in cars, and quickly found out we grew up just 20 minutes from each other. Charles once rode a bicycle from Newport Beach to New York City because I told him to. True story.

Ross Marchese
Flower Boy
Ross is the adorable son of Groomsman Matt Marchese and his beautiful wife A.J. Despite living in the Bay Area, they manage to see both Katie (or Auntie Kiki as Ross knows her) and I as often as possible. We wanted to have Ross be the ring bearer but just didn't trust him. So he gets flowers instead.

Dana Olson
Maid Of Honor
Dana was my first friend upon moving to Orange County from college. She has proven to have the kindest, most giving heart and the most artistic, and playful soul. She has spent Thanksgiving, Christmas, and many birthdays with myself and my family, and never stops showing me what it means to be a good friend.

Christy Richter
Bridesmaid
Christy and I met at Chapman University's graduate school orientation and have been inseparable since. We were at one-another's side through the ups and downs of graduate school, internships, relationships, and now jobs. She always knows when to put me in my place, and I know I could not have survived the last two years without her!

Sarah Williams
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I have watched each other grow up since 1993. She and I became friends on our first day of preschool and never grew apart despite attending different schools and living in different states. She and I have a bond that is not only indescribable, but unable to be understood by most people. She never fails to bring a smile to my face with a simple text or voicemail message

Suzanne Rotan
Bridesmaid
Suzanne and I met in undergrad and realized our lives would forever be entwined as we not only lived together, but had the same major and minor. I could never spend too much time with her. Her personality is both hilarious and infectious and I wouldn't want to spend lazy weekends with anyone else!

Kate Swauger
Bridesmaid
Kate and I met on our first day as Thetas and knew it was Kate and Katie for the next four years. She is silly and fun and always up for anything! Kate is a great listener and a perfect person to set you straight. She has been through my relationship ups and downs and is always there to give not-so-subtle hints to Andrew.

Erin VanderHyde
Bridesmaid
Erin and I met during my first week working as a behavioral therapist in Orange County. She showed me the ropes of working as a clinician and I knew from our first session we'd be great friends. We have stayed as close as ever after we both started graduate school, graduated, and now have our dream jobs! I always know I will be seeing Erin each week for dinner, beach or brunch dates so we can be "contigo"!

Emma Klein
Flower Girl
I met Emma in August of 2011, when she was a young 18 months old. Emma quickly made her mark on me when I was instantly renamed "Kiki". I have had the pleasure of watching Emma grow up to become a beautiful, inspiring, and charismatic young girl. I will always be Emma's number one fan and supporter second to her parents of course!
